Thi Mai

Thi Mai graduated from Drama School 2, having completed the 4-year Cai Luong course designed to train professional theater actors, between 1977 and 1980.

After her graduation, she joined various performing groups including the Saigon 1 Cai Luong Group, the Southern Huong Vocal Music and Dance Troupe, the Kim Cuong Musical and Drama Troupe, and the Le Vu Cau Comedy Group. She also participated in youth music groups such as the GREEN Music Group and the Aries Girl Group, and later pursued a career as an independent singer, performing in music halls, tea rooms, and dance halls.

Additionally, she became the lead singer for the largest Dancing Ambassador in Phnom Penh. In 1995, Thi Mai emigrated to France and paused her artistic activities until 2000.

Upon resuming her career, she worked as an MC and a singer for musical restaurants and music festivals in Paris. Currently, she continues to engage in the arts, serving as an MC for a restaurant and as the founder of Huong Sac Vietnam, where she edits and directs programs that celebrate the culture of Vietnam. Furthermore, she actively contributes to charitable causes through organizations such as temples and charity associations.

Thi Mai is also responsible for leading the Vietnamese opera singing workshop within the Tieng To Dong Association
